About Slav Ltd.
Slav (est. 1997), is a longstanding and well-established private company operating a variety of community-based psychosocial rehabilitation frameworks and services for people experiencing disabilities and psychosocial challenges.
Slav's rehabilitation services are available to people with psychiatric disabilities who are eligible for the rehabilitation basket ("sal shikum") administered by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense. Slav also provides services to diverse groups of people with other disabilities via the Welfare Ministry, and in partnership with other stakeholders such as Joint-Israel and the National Insurance Institute.
Slav's services comprise:
- Residential services: hostels, supportive community, individual or group-based supported living units, residential support to people living independently
- Employment services: supported employment, sheltered employment, a gardening enterprise, support centre for employers of people with disabilities
- Additional services: Soulbird – support centre for parents with mental health problems and their children, mentoring services for individuals
Slav's services are located around the country. Our services are centrally located, fully accessible, pleasant and well-kept, and strive to provide a true home for our residents. Each service is managed and budgeted independently in order to ensure that all resources are channeled directly to the benefit of service users.
Slav's staff comprises carefully selected health professionals from a range of fields: social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, etc. All our facilities are managed according to national standards set by the relevant government bodies and in keeping with our vision:
